Membership Rules

The "Rules" are not difficult, If you understand the basics of "being nice", the rest comes no problem. To become an official ToW Community Club Member you must agree to and follow the rules as outlined below.

    Rules
  1. You must be able to read and write in English.
  2. You must abide by the Tides of War Community Terms of Service (ToS).
    ToS at Tides of War is basic and common to most sites, in essence it read that Tides will provide its services to the best of its abilities, following all regional, state and local laws (USA Based). Users, meaning YOU, agree by visiting our site to abide by those rules and if you break those rules Tides my revoke your privileges or using our site.
  3. You must abide by the Tides of War Code of Conduct (CoC).
    Tides of War Code of Conduct lays out the conduct and expectations of our members while using our various services. In particular you conduct on our Forums, Game Servers, Team Speak, Instant Messenger Service, etc. Although we agree with the fundamentals of 'free speach and expression of idea' we do draw the line out HOW those words and expression are presented. Four letter words and sexually explicit contents will get you in trouble with the CoC. We expect our "Club Members" to conduct themselves as Officers and Gentlemen, and of course Officers and Ladies as the case may be. Tides of War is NOT a biker bar.
  4. Divisional Rules
    Tides of War Club is divided into 'Divisional" ie, Land, Air, Sea, etc. Each Divisional Leader sets down certain 'rules' for that divisional in addition to the normal club rules. Such rules might include format for 'tags', 'ranks', etc. Those rules you also agree to abide by. Although you are allowed to cross divisional lines at any time, you must still abide by those divisional rules set forth.
  5. Cheats - Hacks
    Strictly Forbidden. Installing or using ANY hacks or Cheat for games played on Tides of War Servers and/or our Affiliate Servers and/or any competition server Tides of War maybe involved with is strictly forbidden. Need more be said? Tides has no room or tolerance for cheaters.
  6. BSS Rules and Reg.'s
    The Black Sheep Squadron has very few rules and requirements. Its best to check the BSS forums for rules and reg's. Even better yet to ask the CO, Xo's about Rules and they can point you in the right direction.
Enlistment Form
 
NOTE: One assumes a pilot would have the necessary software, etc, for Air Attack before one would request joining a squad, however please read on. You must be registered to play Air Attack, have the software downloaded and installed and able to connect and play before you fill out this application. If you do not have the game installed and working please do so at this time and do NOT fill out the application form. You can get all the information you need at http://www.airattack.us. You may also contact a ToW:BSS member on ToW Teamspeak for assistance if necessary.

You will also need a program called TeamSpeak. If you have and know how to use TeamSpeak then you can continue on. If you don't have TeamSpeak... get it and install it. You will need a head set and mic to use it properly, but if you don't have a mic then at least join us on our BSS channel so we can give your verbal instructions while flying. Please indicate any air game squads you have belonged to in the last two years. If you have not been a member of any such squads so indicate "none". If you are a current member of any air combat squad, please indicate the squad name and the clubs URL . If you have IL2 or other Air Combat Game experience / squad membership please indicate as well. About You

None of the follow criteria is used to judge your application or person. We simply want to know what skills you have outside of playing the game(s), we already know your an ace :) We always need willing and talented folks to help administrate and enhance or site and game play.

What talents do you have that might help our club grow and become more professional? Is there anything you can contribute to enhance our club? Can you help with web site work, graphics, Linux or Windows Servers? Have you administrated Forums, Game Servers, Web Servers, etc.? Can you program, have modding experience, mapping experience? Even Minimum experience can sometimes be a big help. Do you have professional skills that might help our club and members? Would you be willing to donate some time and skill to better our gaming experience?

Computer: Web/Servers/Software/Systems/etc
List or discuss any talents you may have outside actual game play that may help out in such areas as modding, programming, site development and maintenance, server experience, etc.:

Club/Clan: Administration/Clans/etc
List any experience you might have with Game Administration, Forum Management, Team Speak Management, Club/Clan Management and/or moderator in general. Do you have any experience that might help us administrate our club? Would you be willing to learn and fill a position of trust and responsibility?
